Dr. Seuss Celebration "Read Across America"
Dr. Seuss Celebration- Each March, GLC joins the National Education Association in celebrating the birthday of Dr. Seuss (Theodor Seuss Geisel).Volunteer readers are recruited to read Seuss stories in pre-school, kindergarten and first grade classes across the city of Gary. Students hear a brief biography of Dr. Seuss and each class receives Seuss books for their room library.
